Jacquie Powers, Director

Jacquie is a graduate of Niagara University, with a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a Masters of Science in Special Education. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. She comes to the Nursery School with several years of experience, first working as a Special Education Teacher and then as a Clinical Supervisor. Her passion for teaching children started at a young age and she remains enthusiastic in all children’s learning and development. Jacquie is a parent to two SNS alumni and also a former SNS board member.

Kate Ibañez, Spanish Language Teacher

Señora Ibañez is a Penn State University graduate of Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a Spanish Concentration and brings experience from teaching pre-school aged children in Chile, Haiti and Luxembourg. She is passionate about introducing language to young learners and is thrilled to be teaching Spanish at SNS. She is also a former SNS board member and the parent to two SNS students.

Melissa Wright- 4 year olds and Afternoon Adventures Teacher

Mrs. Wright has been teaching the 4’s class at SNS since 2020 and prior to that showed us her enthusiasm and love for teaching as an aide for two years for Fun Fridays, Afternoon Amigos and Afternoon Adventures.  She has a BBA in Marketing from St. Bonaventure University and 12 years of sales experience, mostly from her time in NYC.  She has served for over 10 years as Chairwoman for her family’s memorial endowment, which aids in tuition assistance for families in need.  She loves volunteering for PTC events, has taught with the Art MasterPiece program, and is currently involved with the Athletic Boosters.  

Briana Duger ~ 3 year-olds, Afternoon Adventures & Fun Friday Teacher


Briana is entering her third year of teaching at SNS. She is passionate about children and watching them grow and learn.  She has several years of experience caring for and working with young children. She has an innate ability to connect with children.  She loves helping them learn, develop, and grow through play and interactions with others. Briana and her 4 year old daughter live in Jordan. Besides spending time with children, she is a country singer in a duo throughout the Syracuse area. She also performs in musical theater productions. 


Mary Delmonico~ Art, Music, & Enrichment Teacher

Mary Delmonico graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BS in Psychology. She went on to complete her Master’s In Childhood Education at Syracuse University. Mrs. Delmonico worked in Syracuse City School District until her oldest child was born, where she then took time off from teaching to raise her family. Mrs. Delmonico and her husband JD have 4 children who are all SNS alumni and very active members of the Skaneateles community. She started her career at SNS as a parent, on to a Board member, to Teacher Aide to Afternoon Adventure’s Teacher. Mrs. Delmonico serves  and volunteers for several community Boards and school organizations. When not teaching at SNS, Mrs. Delmonico can be found cheering on her children at various sporting events throughout central New York! Or if she’s really lucky, reading a good book!
