Kristi Peterson - 4 Year Old Teacher
Mrs. Peterson has a BA in Political Science and English and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from SUNY Oswego. She holds teaching certificates in New York and Pennsylvania and taught for over ten years in public schools before taking time off to raise her family. Since 2012, she has taught the 4-year-old program at SNS. Mrs. Peterson strives to create a classroom focused on kindness and kindergarten readiness. She loves to watch her students' social, emotional, and academic growth throughout the school year.
Mrs. Peterson has been actively involved in the Skaneateles community for many years. Her children attended SNS between 2003 - 2008; during that time, she served as an SNS board member. She also served as a board member for the Skaneateles Elementary PTC, the Skaneateles Education Foundation, and, most recently, the Skaneateles Music Guild. Mrs. Peterson and her husband reside in Skaneateles with their two college-aged daughters and dog, Petey. Her oldest son currently lives and works in Arlington, VA. Along with her love of teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling. We are so lucky to have her preparing our kids for kindergarten!
